Mid-Senior Business Litigation Attorney

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent clients in a broad range of commercial disputes including breaches of contract, fraud, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair deceptive trade practices.
Handle various aspects of case management from initiation to resolution, whether through settlement, trial, or appeal.
Engage in data privacy, security, and compliance tasks, providing clients with preventative and responsive solutions.
Conduct and manage internal investigations and assist in white collar criminal defense matters.
Prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and stipulations.
Write, review, and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents, ensuring high-quality legal service.
Participate in depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
Provide guidance and counsel to clients regarding their legal rights and obligations.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and must be a member of the North Carolina bar.
At least 5-7 years of significant experience in business and commercial litigation.
Strong experience and working knowledge of litigation procedures and laws applicable to litigation.
Ability to handle legal matters independently and work effectively as part of a team on complex litigation issues.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Proven legal and analytical skills with a capacity for handling confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in leading trials and managing large scale litigation.
Familiarity with technology-related law, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and protection regulations.
Background in handling federal court cases and managing multi-district litigations.
Experience in alternative dispute resolution methods.
Strong client relationships proven by past client satisfaction.
Demonstrated leadership skills and mentoring capabilities.
Skills:
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively advocate for clients and convey complex legal arguments.
