About the Role & Program
Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Marketing organization within Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. CIMA influences decision making with coordinated, objective, and actionable insights.Within CIMA, our analytics teams provide analysis across the primary modes used by guests/clients for vacation discovery, planning, transacting, and management to enable decision making and optimization. The analytics teams are groups of professional data storytellers! They transform data into insights and provide partners with vital analysis to make data driven decisions to improve guest experiences across some of the most exciting lines of business within Disney! These include Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Vacation Club, Aulani Resort, Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions, and Disney Cruise Line.The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.What You Will Do
In this role, we will lead our intern through projects using SQL, Adobe Analytics, Snowflake, Hadoop, Tableau, and Microsoft Office, giving them the toolset to be productive in their future roles. As part of our team, our intern will:Support Sr. Digital Analysts and Digital Analysts within key business segments to ensure accurate data collection to tackle exciting business questions.Generate insights from data, identify areas of opportunity for improvement, and follow-through to see them implemented.Craft visually appealing, effective, and impactful reports for numerous audiences, including executive leadership.Tell inclusive stories with data through insightful analysis and creation of data visualization to clearly communicate actionable insights to business, technology, and analytics partners.Required Qualifications & Skills
Database knowledge and understanding of SQL.Experience using either Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or an equivalent digital analytics tool.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc).Natural curiosity to learn new technologies and understand the “why” behind data, performance, and decisions.Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with R or Python.Proficiency with Tableau or data visualization tools.Experience with Snowflake and/or Hadoop.Education
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.A student studying in their senior year, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.A major in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related major is preferred.Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:Be at least 18 years of age.Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.Possess unrestricted work authorization.Additional Information
The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.Able to provide own housing in the Orlando, FL area.Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
