We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) as part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) aircraft.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX.

This role is responsible for leading the design, schedule, budget, development, integration, procurement, build, and team execution of the Wheeled Landing Gear subsystem.

This role is specifically responsible for Main and Tail Landing Gear, Normal and Emergency Extension Retraction System, Wheel Braking System and Structural/Hyd/Electrical/Software Interfaces.

What you’ll be doing as a Manager, IPT Engineering – FLRAA Wheeled Landing Gear Systems

Drive execution of design, analysis, and integration in the integrated program team environment.

Responsible for the technical, cost, and schedule performance related to Landing Gear system design, analysis, manufacturing, procurement, and systems integration.

Coordinate project deliverables and schedules, and report status to program management.

Lead a broad cross functional Landing Gear team throughout entire product design lifecycle including preliminary design, detail design, engineering release, technical reviews, qualification, flight test and revision change management.

Coordinate with the build team, manufacturing centers, manufacturing innovation, suppliers and teammates to improve aircraft manufacturability, sustainability and affordability.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role

Experience with Project Management including EVMS reporting and IMS development.

Demonstrated experience in managing the mechanical, electrical or data integration of Bell-developed and supplier-developed components.

Demonstrated experience with the simultaneous management of multiple aircraft suppliers. Experience during development phase of an aircraft program is preferred.

Previous experience working with US Military customer is preferred.

What you need to be successful:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related engineering degree with relevant experience will be considered.

At least 10 years of experience in the development and qualification of Mechanical systems for aircraft. Experience in Development and Qualification of Landing Gear systems is preferred.

2 years of direct Technical Leadership experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Govt Secret Security Clearance.
