Come help us build for the future!Summary:Plans, coordinates and actively manages the IT delivery plans of technical solutions across our enterprise data platforms. Manages the end to end plan that is inclusive of all of the changes needed to a given technical product in support of initiative outcomes. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and the like.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Accountable for project management of a larger initiative/project with medium complexity.Accountable for defining and managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality, including the monitoring of day-to-day progress, execution, management and closure within the approved scope, schedule and cost.Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques that are aligned with Company approved methodologies & tool sets to help with the successful completion of short and long-term goals.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceMinimum 4 years of professional experience.Two or more years of project management experience in technology and/or business functions. Experience with project management methodologies or SDLC (systems development life cycle)Experience with project management methodologies & SDLC. Working knowledge of project management / agile toolingUnderstands how software is developed, tested and implemented as well as technical concepts.Ability to work closely with engineers, product managers and business leaders.Proficient level of understanding of Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure/Google)Proficient level of knowledge of data warehousing principles in a cloud environmentsAbility to communicate in writing and verbally to both functional and technical stakeholders.Experience managing large scale, multi-functional initiatives using a variety of delivery methodologies (i.e. waterfall, agile, lean, scrum, etc.)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Intellectual curiosity and a desire to dig into details, learn, ask questions and become the "go to expert" on certain concepts and topics.Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project executionSolves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of informationImpacts the direction and resource allocation for program, project or services; works within general department policies and industry guidelinesExplains information, conveys performance expectations and handles sensitive issuesCompensation Range:Pay Range - Start: $82,670.00Pay Range - End: $153,530.00Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.
