Full-timeRobert Bosch LLCseeks Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Drive, Farmington Hills, MI 48331. Develop software and functionality for embedded control systems for automotive applications such as Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), propulsion - combustion, hybrid and Electric - Control Unit (ECU) and Transmission Control Unit (TCU) as a member of Bosch global development team working on the latest generation microcontrollers /microprocessors and AUTOSAR standards. Engage in all phases of development - concept creation till release to customer. Perform rapid prototyping to support functional requirement development. Develop manual and model-based code according to specification. Dive deep into analysis improving hardware-software interfaces and software testing test and validate new software features in the vehicle, on a dynamometer, a HIL, SIL or MIL. Debug and troubleshoot software. Utilize Bosch proprietary tools, customer tools and generic tools. Participate in program review meetings, interface studies, design review. Support customer test trips in hot, cold, and high-altitude environments and provide local expertise for software. Act as direct contact with internal and external customers. Up to 10% domestic and international travel. Telecommuting: Hybrid – 3 days a week in office. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, or other occupation involving software development, software languages and operating systems. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Software development and debugging tools; (2) Controls for electrified powertrain (hybrid and full electric) and connectivity (V2X); (3) Rapid prototyping and simulation environments such Dspace, Ehooks, No-hooks or others; (4) Cross functional mechanical, electrical and software intensive systems in the automotive industry; (5) Vehicle control unit, transmission control unit, or body control unit; (6) End to end communication protocols and architecture such as CAN or others; and (7) Industry standards related to safety (ISO 26262) or cyber security (ISO 21434).
