Assist in the development of multiple projects and plans.These duties will be performed under the supervision of a project engineer or project manager.Performs work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.Assignments usually include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawing and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.Helps to coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as drafting/CADD work for the project.Assists in preparing progress reports and may supervise small projects.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in a design related field.Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.Performance Expectations
Complete Annual Individual Training ProgramTrain adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absenceComply with all KCI policies and proceduresEnsure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirementsComplete other duties as required/assignedAchieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target (80-85% typical)Attend bi-weekly (or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasksComplete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scopeConsult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as requiredOperate within specified (corporate or project) budget parametersCompare field data to base planConduct site visits and gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes and photographs as neededPrepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for review and approvalPrepare preliminary concept designs and submit for approvalRead and interpret technical documents needed for performance of jobReview and approve shop drawingsKCI Technologies, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
