We do well so we can do good.Serve Others, Enrich Lives, Rise Together and Give BackJob Overview:The Quality Systems Engineer reports to the Quality Systems Manager and liaises with the Plant Manager and/or internal and external specialists to ensure systems standards and best practices are both developed and/or implemented within DMS. The main missions of the role are to:Responsibilities:Support and align successful plant certifications to IATF 16949 & VDA 6.3 via external, internal and gap audits of plant processes and implementation of sustained Quality Systems.Measure process effectiveness via internal data and gap assessments.Support external and internal quality system assessments for all DMS plants.Develop and implement measurable key performance indicator convergence plans with plant management and team members.Organize and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system.Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditors.Conduct internal follow-up assessments to ensure sustainable improvement.Support all DMS external Quality System audits.Tracking and coordinating responses to audit findings.Organization and alignment of company quality systems with IATF 16949/ VDA 6.3 requirements.Support certification audits and customer Quality System audits (LPA, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, etc.).Support operating system excellence.Collaborate with functional business areas to establish quality improvement programs.Provide direction to drive best practices and common methods of quality management across the business.Provide operations standards assessment with action plan coaching, associated follow-up and implementation coaching.Facilitate and support controlled documentation of team-based process improvements.Support all DMS plants on reduced waste efforts via successful quality efficiency systems implementation.Coordinate and maintain DMS document control system via DMS document control database (DMS charters, standards, procedures, instructions, forms and/or any associated tracking of same).Ensure contents are appropriate for DMS processes and compliant to OEM Automotive Standards with plant management, operator and process team inputs.Analyze current and future procedural needs of the business.Develop and lead system process improvement Operator and Management shop floor and classroom workshops based on standards. Collaborate with plant management and team for content and expected results. Coach and guide others in the organization on the requirements of the DMS system process improvement standards; including the tools used to implement and maintain it successfully.Implement and track process Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to support process and system improvement.Drive improvement ideas system generation and implementation.Undertake special projects as required.Ensure the respect of safety instructions, policies and procedures.Preferred Experience:The ideal candidate will have/be:Minimum 5 years professional site experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g. Engineer or Quality/Compliance System Specialist level or equivalent).Minimum bachelor’s degree level education or equivalent in site experience.Excellent interpersonal, communication, oral, written and presentation skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office software.Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize projects as well as associated timing of same.Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of IATF16949:2016, and VDA standards.Certified IATF-16949 lead auditor/auditor preferred.Knowledge and understanding of AIAG requirements for FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, control plans, process flow diagrams and process maps.Experience in developing and documenting process maps and value stream maps for quality and/or lean manufacturing systems and processes.Recognized experience and ability to improve process KPIs.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to travel - up to 25%.Strong statistical and analytical proficiency.Proficient in automotive problem-solving tools (3L5Y, 8D analysis, etc.).Strong sense of teamwork.Requirements:Certified IATF-16949 lead auditor/auditor preferred.Strong background in Quality Management Systems. Must have a solid understanding of continuous improvement methods, problem-solving techniques, audit principles, and change management processes.Understanding of industry core tools (APQP, PFMEA (AIAG & AIAG/VDA), Control Plan, PPAP, SPC, MSA).Integrity:
