As a Microsoft Solutions Architect with STERIS you will have the opportunity to build innovative, leading edge technology solutions that will support the growth and success of Sales, Marketing and Field Service teams internationally. You will provide technical and functional expertise on Web, Mobile and Cloud Applications, in addition to exploring AI initiatives. This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in Microsoft solutions architecture, software design methodologies, software design patterns, and object-oriented design. You will remain aware of emerging technologies, programming languages, and standards. As an Architect, you will lead development initiatives and set standards for the development team. This is a highly visible, highly collaborative role within the IT organization giving you the ability to grow your capabilities and your career.*This position is located onsite in Mentor, Ohio with an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.Duties:

Research, evaluate, and recommend software, hardware, and cloud technologies.Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations.Incorporate security requirements into the design.Adhere to technology control policies throughout design, development, and testing.Incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.Ensure interface specifications are included in the completed deliverable.Identify applicable system platforms, components, and dependencies.Translate technical requirements into programmed application modules.Provide uniform integration into legacy systems.Provide guidance to support staff on software development and maintenance.Maintain communication with other IT staff and pass the information on the latest trends in architecture software.Participate in project planning sessions with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Analysts, and development team members to analyze business/technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solution.Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.Perform unit, system, and integration testing and participate in capacity/performance testing of an application.Required Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related degree required.8+ years in all phases of the software development lifecycle.5+ years of working experience in design and development experience in Enterprise level Microsoft technology applications using C#.net, ReactJS/AngularJS/jQuery/EXTJS, CSS, HTML5, and SQL.2+ years of experience in application architecture.1+ years of experience in developing and designing applications and web API in a Service Oriented Architecture, including the use of RESTful services and API.1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure or any other cloud applications.Experience in web application security practices and techniques and experience in remediation of potential application security threats.Experience working in a variety of development methodologies including Agile/SCRUM or other Iterative methodologies.Experience with the design and development of mobile apps is a plus.Preferred Experience:

Strong analytical skills.Must possess a high degree of initiative and self-direction.Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation, organizational, and conflict management skills.Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures.Knowledge of Oracle ERP or other ERP systems.Solid business acumen and deep understanding of business processes in CRM and customer-facing applications.Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of technical team members.Ability to work in a matrix team environment with both internal and 3rd party development teams (onshore/offshore).Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.What STERIS Offers:
