This is a full-time position that will perform on client-site in New Orleans, LA, and requires an active secret clearance at time of application.Responsibilities:
Ensure install, manage, and configure all physical hosts.Install, manage, and configure all VMWare software on physical hosts (currently VMWare 6.0).Install, manage, deploy, and configure all virtual servers in VMWare and on the physical hosts.Integrate VMWare technologies with all storage providers.Install, manage, and configure all filers.Install, manage, and configure all migration software.Assist in troubleshooting all physical and virtual platforms, including UCS, HP, Dell, and any other government procured hardware.Provide on-the-job training to new government staff for the use of the migration software and systems.Monitor VMWare and physical servers to assist leadership in determining corrective actions for system errors.Assist in troubleshooting all storage platforms including NetApp, Tegile, and any other government procured hardware.Monitor storage platforms to assist leadership in determining corrective actions for system errors.Investigate hardware and software problems related to the storage and backup infrastructure and perform corrective actions.Participate in all monthly service migrations, emergency migrations, and provide after-action reports.During critical hurricane months (June – November), provide four-hour onsite support for emergency migrations.Test backup and recovery processes quarterly to ensure data retrieval.Test migration plans weekly using Government provided software.Investigate hardware and software problems related to the physical and virtual infrastructure and perform corrective actions.Complete DISA STIG checklists and support Cybersecurity related inspections.Provide reports on the health, reliability, degradation, and performance of the environments.Develop and/or update server system security plans and design documents.Work trouble tickets as assigned (approximately 25 trouble tickets annually).Assist in the design and implementation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly patches on all servers and storage devices.Requirements:
Education:
BA/BS or MA/MS desired; experience in lieu of education is acceptable.Experience:
5+ years related professional experience.Certification(s):
Must be at least IAT Level II compliant – minimum of CompTIA Security+ on start date.Security Clearance:
