Associate Data Engineer
role will primarily be contributing to the development efforts on our existing Data Engineering team with a focus on our Data Warehouse pipelines. We are looking for experienced individuals who are ready to contribute individually as well as potentially be a technical lead of their own scrum team as we continue to grow.Responsibilities
Ownership of software features from blueprint to production and taking pride in deploying high-quality software solutions. You will be expected to communicate effectively with our engineering and product teams (devs, architects, product and QAs as well as the meteorologists and data scientists at times) and while less often, also with teammates across our organization such as customer success, implementation services or sales. Focus on building feature-rich data engineering/cloud computing backend with Kubernetes and parallel processing. You’ll have opportunities for exposure across our entire stack. You will work closely with the team to ensure requirements and technical solutions are understood for the problems we are presented with daily, as well as writing software solutions to these problems along with the data engineering team.Required Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.Data Engineering / Software Engineering or similar experience working with Python, ideally in a production environment.Hands-on experience with various Python tooling and frameworks (Django/Flask/Pandas/Airflow).Understanding of systems design, distributed services etc.Database knowledge / experience: Redshift, PostgreSQL or other open source databases and pipelines.Understand the software development lifecycle from start to finish.Understanding of Agile principles and ability to deliver software on a regular cadence.Knowledge / experience with cloud (AWS preferred) tools and packages such as: Redshift, Glue, RDS, DMS.Bonus Skills
