Staff Software Engineer , you will help drive our engineering culture, help lead other engineers in an agile environment to develop and deploy applications and features that are used in customer-facing SaaS solutions for supply chain risk management.We are looking to augment our team with experienced and highly competent software engineering technical leaders that enjoy problem solving, collaborating, troubleshooting, and delivering quality solutions. You will be using the latest in cloud-native technologies to deliver secure, highly available solutions enabling our clients to reduce the volatility in their supply chain operations and increase the value of their businesses.To build our services, we use a wide range of technologies, such as:PythonDjangoKafkaNext.js / TypescriptPostgreSQL / PostGISKubernetes / Docker / TerraformAWSNeo4j100% Remote PositionResponsibilitiesWork with engineers and product owners across teams and shape our roadmap to ensure we ship interoperable products.Work together with UI/UX teams to build high quality, feature rich product experiences.Set a high bar for software engineering contributions and quality across multiple teams.Provide guidance and ownership of architectural and design decisions for the platform.Make suitable tradeoffs between technology choices, business priorities and user experience.Required Skills And ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.10+ years of hands-on professional experience with Python frameworks (Django/Flask).Strong with systems design, distributed services etc., with a track record of having led successful software initiatives and teams.Experience with big data software architecture & design.Excellent understanding of how to profile, troubleshoot and performance-proof large, data intensive applications.Delivered features on a product and understand the software development lifecycle from start to finish.Demonstrated technical excellence and leadership providing solutions that solve complex problems.Experienced with Agile principles and have worked on a Scrum based to deliver software on a regular cadence.Working knowledge/experience with cloud (AWS preferred) tools and packages.Knowledge of graph DB technologies (e.g. Neo4j, etc).Bonus SkillsDomain experience in Supply-Chain and/or the Transportation industry.Experience delivering a B2B SaaS product to production.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Thanks to our remarkable people we are at the forefront of change and bringing cutting-edge products and services to market.
