Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is seeking an Oracle DBA to join our industry-leading, cloud computing team. This is a fully remote role, and the duties and responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to:Working with customers to understand their requirements and deliver superior solutions.Architecture, engineering, and services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.Acting as Oracle DBA throughout all stages of the lifecycle.Ensuring the security of cloud services and Oracle database resources in accordance with industry standards and best practices provided by the cloud provider, while also collecting and presenting evidence to demonstrate adherence to the security baseline.Builds, scripts, and tests Compliance as Code to apply security configuration(s) to cloud resources upon (or after) deployment.Writes CaC and IaC for both cloud native service deployment and for hosted application deployment to cloud services.Provides cloud service expertise to cloud-deployed applications, assisting application developers with integrating application-specific components into available cloud services.Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of IaC when necessary, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of IaC intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.Works within Agile SDLC framework to include performing work activity within two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, and utilizing sprint tracking software to track and communicate individual work activity to stakeholders.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively while maintaining clear and consistent communication with designated personnel via phone and email, discussing the specifics of the issue, anticipated resolution, and conducting a root cause analysis.RequirementsCandidate must be a U.S. Citizen.Candidate must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance at minimum.Candidate must have an active CompTIA Security+ or other 8570 IAT Level II certification (or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire date).Candidate must have 5+ year(s) experience with the following:Implementing, upgrading, and tuning of large Oracle database deployments.Oracle database patch assessment and application in an EBS environment.Database performance problem identification and remediation.Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.Jenkins, Ansible, and RMS in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.CI/CD pipelines for solutions delivery using services, and technologies along with well-architected framework best practices.Architect and engineer automated Infrastructure to accelerate service delivery.Desired SkillsManagement of Infrastructure as Code CI/CD pipelines in standard tools like GitLab/GitHub.Experience automating the creation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) infrastructures using industry standard tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab.Experience Integrating CI/CD pipelines with other industry standard development/security tools such as Sonatype, Nexus, Veracode, Aqua, Contrast Security.Experience with Native cloud management and governance tools.Experience automating the collection of artifacts from Agile documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.Experience in development, staging, and production phases of SDLC.Experience researching problems and contacting/escalating issues to 3rd party hardware/software providers.About Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR)Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) maintains an outstanding work environment that includes competitive compensation, outstanding benefits, and challenging work assignments with opportunities for advancement/career growth.
