Job Description:The Software Engineer will support SOCOM and will work within the NCR. For the first 90 days this position will be fully on site then have the ability to transition to a hybrid 4-day on site/1-day remote schedule. The location of this position will be in Springfield, VA until summer 2025, where the new location will be in Crystal City, VA. There will be travel one to two times per year for 2-3 weeks at a time to either Fort Liberty, NC or the Virginia Beach area.Job Duties Include (but not limited to):Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code while adhering to coding standards and best practicesConducting code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application stabilityCollaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresImplementing and maintaining version control using GitLab for efficient collaboration and code managementDeveloping interactive and responsive front-end interfaces using Streamlit and related librariesDesigning, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions using Python and related frameworksIntegrating backend services with front-end components to ensure seamless functionalityUtilizing AWS services for building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applicationsQualifications
Required Skills & Experience:4+ years of related experience in data analysis is required.Proficiency in Python and Git with experience in front-end design with technologies such as Streamlit.Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs.Knowledge of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).Experience in DoD (Department of Defense) development environments or similar highly regulated industries.Familiarity with identity and access management systems, particularly Keycloak.MUST BE A U.S. CITIZENEducation & Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.Related fields include, but are not limited to, mathematics, statistics, and physics.Security Clearance:An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.Benefits:National health, vision, and dental plans20 days of PTO and 11 paid holidaysLife InsuranceShort- and long-term disability plans401(K) retirement planIncentive and recognition programsRelocation opportunitiesIron EagleX is an equal opportunity employer.
