ABOUT THIS POSITIONRight now, we are looking for an outstanding, brilliant, and driven Application Engineer to join our growing DevOps Applications team. In this mission critical role, the Application Engineer will design, build, and implement amazing web and process applications for our internal customers. They will also have the opportunity to work with infrastructure components such as servers, load balancers, and MQ. These Team Members are also charged with resolving issues relating to our DevOps deployment code and processes.WHAT YOU'LL DODesigns/develops/tests/implements improvements or new features in our core code deployment tools and supporting applications, based on the functional and technical specifications.Queries, analyzes and evaluates approaches to aggregating structured and unstructured data into formats that adhere to sets of specifications.Support operational excellence by innovating around new opportunities in an environment that rewards creativity.Responsible for adhering to coding standards and the approved technologies.Unit tests all changes on development, and then works with the appropriate Business and/or Technology Owner(s) to ensure that the developed solution meets the business requirements.Communicates development progress daily to the senior-level team members.Attends to any work items assigned through the internal case system in a timely fashion.Takes ownership of work items assigned, communicates estimates and daily progress as part of the SDLC process, and actively works to resolve issues blocking progress.Assists in the QA process.Participates, as required, in Production deployment, providing instructions and support for deploying the code changes successfully, and for Smoke Testing code post-release.Develops and maintains open and fluid communication with Management.Develops and maintains a positive relationship with other team members.Additional duties as assigned.WHAT YOU'LL NEEDExcited to work with an awesome team who support and care for each other.Ready to take your career to the next level by applying your skills to new challenges.0-3 years’ experience querying both structured and unstructured datasets.Experience with ETL and data warehouse (Snowflake Required).Basic understanding of programming concepts.Can code in one or more general purpose programming languages; C# and .NET programming languages are preferred.SQL Server experience required.Experience with infrastructure components such as servers, networking, load balancers, and MQ preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment & welcome change.Highly self-motivated.Ability to work both in team and solo environments.Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.ABOUT WAYSTARThrough a smart platform and better experience, Waystar helps providers simplify healthcare payments and yield powerful results throughout the complete revenue cycle.
