WORKFORCE DEVELOPER (EVENING) - PART-TIMEADULT LEARNING CENTER4-DAYS A WEEK/16-HOURS, 25-WEEKS$30.00 PER HOUR

RESPONSIBILITIES:Support student engagement and two-way communication with The WorkPlace, One Stop partners, and local employers and develop a comprehensive job shadow/internship program.Connect with local employers, CT State Community Colleges, local unions, training programs, and CONTACC to support students in the transition to work, post-secondary, and training programs.Collaborate with a certified School Counselor to deliver instruction in a Career Exploration course.Coordinate presenters and field trips related to career exploration.Engage with local agencies to plan informational interviews, job shadows, and internships.Share project information with staff and collaborative partners; and manage grant components.Maintain communication of job announcements, recruitment events, and other workforce opportunities shared by the CT Department of Labor, Career Resources Incorporated, and local employers.Develop a College & Career Center within adult education.Enhance students' knowledge and skills in career exploration, workforce readiness, postsecondary education, and training through collaboration with local employers, community agencies, the local workforce board, and the CT State Community Colleges.This job description is not, nor is it intended to be, a complete statement of all duties, functions, responsibilities, qualifications, physical, and cognitive, which comprise this position.
