The DevOps Engineer Sr is responsible for code management and deployments utilizing Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), Chef, and Jenkins. This key role interacts with the application development team and works closely with developers in deploying cross-platform code, operational support, infrastructure architecture, and troubleshooting issues. The DevOps Engineer Sr has discretion over automation processes and tools for efficiency.Education & Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Security, Information Technology, or related field with courses in programming or equivalent experienceIf supporting TRICARE contract, must be a U.S. CitizenIf supporting TRICARE contract, must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation5+ years of Object Oriented application experience in .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, web API)3+ years of experience integrating applications using SOA/web services with knowledge of ADO.NET3+ years of experience deploying applications in a Windows Server and/or Linux Redhat environment.3+ years of experience with Oracle or MSSQL platforms2+ years of experience in web-based front end development (JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Angular JS)Knowledge of software build cyclesFluent in PowerShellExperience deploying code and establishing branching strategyKnowledge of modern DevOps concepts and agile software development practices with a focus on continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testingExperience communicating with both technical and business audiencesPreferred:

Experience with Git-GitHubKnowledge of Entity FrameworkStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliar with network services specifically with load balancing, NATs, ports, protocols, and ACLsTechnical experience working with healthcare systems or in a government contact systems environmentExperience with software architectural trendsFamiliarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and build automation toolsExperience with service-oriented architecture (SOA), Web Services, and REST protocolsExperience with software testing (Functional, Performance, and Unit Testing) and testing software (Load Runner)Experience with RubyExperience with Chef Enterprise Application StackFamiliarity with current NIST, CIS, HIPAA, and VA Handbook requirements for security hardening for OS and application hardeningKey Responsibilities

Collaborate in designing and developing automated scripts for code deployments.Provide architectural infrastructure design for new projects.Design, test, and support automated risk management techniques.Enable support of continuous and consistent integration techniques for development teams.Design and build automated frameworks for deployment and monitoring of web-based services and applications.Coordinate with client departments to maintain communications support for application functionality.Participate in regularly-scheduled project reviews and project statuses with client departments.Serve as a technical and functional resource to entry-level developers.Provide technical support and system engineering to infrastructure servers that support development, test, and production environments.Evaluate and test vendor-supplied software packages.Maintain user manuals, system design documents, diagrams, and program documentation.Perform on-call support functions.Perform other duties as assigned.Regular and reliable attendance is required.Work in a team environment using Agile Project Management (Scrum) and Test Driven Development.Participate in all Scrum activities such as creating user stories, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.CompetenciesCommitment to Task:

*Annual base salary for Colorado, Hawaii, Washington D.C., and Washington State residents: $113,000- $144,000 depending on experience.
