Description -HP’s Apprenticeship Program is a 15-month commitment, beginning in January 2025 and concluding in spring 2026. Before applying, please ensure you fully understand the role and are prepared for the entire duration of the program.This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that cater to specific user needs or business requirements. The role works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create functional, user-friendly, and reliable software solutions. The role conducts testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure that software applications are free of defects and meet high-quality standards.A Typical DayDesigns enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.Design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.Investigates and resolves technical issues reported by users or identified during testing and usage.Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of the application.Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance teams, to implement new features and functionalities in software applications.Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.Represents the software applications engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.Keeps up with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development to stay current and improve skills.You Must HaveEither a High School Diploma, GED, or Associate DegreeSkills NeededPreferred: Bootcamp or Similar Education ExperienceCuriosity to learn:• Agile Methodology• Amazon Web Services• Angular (Web Framework)• Application Programming Interface (API)• Automation• Computer Science• DevOps• Docker (Software)• Full Stack Development• Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL (Programming Language)• Kubernetes• Microservices• Microsoft Azure• React.js• ScalabilityCross-Org Skills include:Effective CommunicationResults OrientationLearning AgilityDigital FluencyCustomer CentricityStrong decision making
