Senior DevOps Engineer

to join our dynamic team and help us streamline and scale our infrastructure as we continue to grow.

Role Overview

As a

Senior DevOps Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our software development and deployment processes. You will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure that our systems are scalable, reliable, and efficient. Your expertise in Google Cloud platform, automation, and system architecture will play a key role in the success of our products and the overall performance of our platform.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in DevOps who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex challenges. If you’re passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure, and optimizing system performance, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of production systems.

Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application performance and deployment strategies.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience.

Monitor system performance and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in cloud platforms (required).

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar (required).

Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI (required).

Expertise with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (required).

Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go (required).

Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Elasticsearch (preferred).

Familiarity with networking concepts, security practices, and system architecture (preferred).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience (preferred).

Key Functions

Build and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure to support our software products.

Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize deployment pipelines and application performance.

Automate repetitive tasks to increase development efficiency and reduce operational overhead.

Ensure system security, performance, and uptime across all environments.

Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, implementing solutions that minimize downtime.

Location:

Grand Rapids, MI (Hybrid - initial on-site work required for 3 to 6 months before transitioning to a hybrid model)
