Job Description: Project Implementation Specialist

This role is for an IT Professional experienced in providing clients and end user groups with analysis and recommendations for technical solutions to business problems or inefficiencies within the areas of Information Technology. Additionally, assists clients in the implementation of Technology Solutions, from the pre-sales opportunity through the installation and completion of the project, defining and executing on delivery and implementation plans, testing and troubleshooting of the final setup, and providing training and end-user support during and after the implementation process.

The ideal Candidate ensures client success with thorough project management, implementation, training, meeting of deadlines, and frequent communication. Depending on the areas of expertise, the role is expected to act as an escalation resource both internally for the company and externally for clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Scope projects in a timely manner via interaction with the ticketing system and internal meetings with the requestor.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, scope time and costs, and define project deliverables.

Conduct data and tool assessments, and recommend improvements based on industry best practices.

Work with clients to understand their migration needs and gather requirements.

Plan and execute project plans, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Develop migration strategies, including data migration and user adoption plans.

Provide guidance and training to end-users on SharePoint/Google functionality and features.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including requirements, project plans, and status reports.

Help clients develop and implement SharePoint/Google governance policies, best practices, and procedures.

Act as a point of contact for technical issues and troubleshooting, providing support to end-users and stakeholders as needed.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer Success Managers, Support, NOC, and Cybersecurity teams, to ensure seamless integration of project solutions.

Communicate project status, risks, and issues to client stakeholders and internal teams, providing regular updates and ensuring expectations are managed.

Act as a technical point of contact for clients and internal teams, offering guidance and recommendations.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to networking, hardware, and cybersecurity.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

This candidate is expected to have experience in the following areas and to be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues via Phone, Chat, and Onsite Support across a variety of hardware, software, and networking topics including but not limited to:

Server Environments (Windows and Mac Server)

Cloud Filesharing Solutions such as Sharepoint and GDrive

Networking and configurations of Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Controllers & Access Points

Virtualization technologies - VMWare / Hyper-V

On Premise and Hosted Mail Solutions (Exchange / Google / M365)

VPN technologies

Workstation operating systems (Windows, Mac, IOS, Android, and Chromebook)

Backup solutions and applications (Datto, Veeam, etc.)

Network security (Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWall, etc.)

Disaster recovery solutions

Desktop applications

Simple and Complex LAN/WAN environments

VoIP phone systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.

Proven experience (minimum 8-10 years) in managing and implementing technology-related projects, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and routing protocols.

Extensive experience with Cloud-based applications and platforms, including but not limited to Azure, Sharepoint, Google Drive.

Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting network performance issues and conducting root cause analysis.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support junior team members.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Schedule:

This is a salaried position with general hours of 40-45 hours per week with occasional After-Hours/Weekends as required. Core business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; hours may be discretionary based on project implementation needs but require management approval. Occasional project needs may exist outside of core business hours.

Location:

Primarily Remote. Onsite to clients in NYC Area with occasional travel to North Haven, CT.

Salary Range: $85,000- $125,000
