Job Description - IT Project Manager (2400406)Founded in 1934, Medical Mutual

We provide peace of mind to more than 1.2 million members through our high-quality health, life, disability, dental, vision and indemnity plans.ResponsibilitiesAssists in managing all stages of the IT projects assigned with management support, including planning, implementing and monitoring activities.Work with IT line managers and team members to develop appropriate methodology plans and assist with tasks, resources, milestones, cost analysis and timelines.Provide all levels of project communications and work with project sponsors or product owners to resolve issues, address changes and identify risks and mitigations.Provide appropriate business analysis by working closely with business areas to understand the business need and work with IT to identify alternative technical, architectural and design solutions to meet that need.Contribute to ongoing IT project leadership process improvement by peer review of other projects, recommendations to the Project Management Practices team (Waterfall) or the Community of Practice related teams (Agile).Engages in continuous education.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems or equivalent work experience.3-7 years’ experience managing successful IT projects using a formal methodology life cycle and software development methodology.Professional Certification(s):Appropriate methodology certification preferred as offered through the Project Management Institute (PMI).Technical Skills and Knowledge:Strong knowledge of Waterfall project management and/or Agile scrum master methodologies/processes.Working knowledge of the applications development life cycle and infrastructure processes.About Medical Mutual:Medical Mutual’s status as a mutual company means we are owned by our policyholders, not stockholders, so we focus on developing products and services that allow us to better serve our customers and the communities around us.We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse and nicotine testing.
