This role, under the general supervision of the Manager, Engineering Projects, is responsible for managing and implementing assigned projects, both capital and expense, across all spending categories. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role will be located at our Raleigh, NC site.YOUR ROLEAs a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:Managing and integrating new processes and equipment into the facility, including production and utility equipment.Preparing engineering proposals, feasibility studies, and cost studies, and providing technical support.Utilizing engineering expertise to develop clear, concise project plans and documentation.Collaborating with designers, mechanics, technicians, and outside contracting firms to bring projects from the design stage to production.Assisting in the development and management of the site’s Capital Plan and tracking actual spending vs. monthly forecast.Providing capital project oversight, team coordination, cost and schedule reporting, drawing reviews, and construction quality oversight.Working with internal project teams to develop, maintain, and align an accurate project timeline, resource plan, and budget.Generating analyses of timelines, resources, and budget information to facilitate planning and decision-making.Monitoring and reporting project status to the Continuous Improvement Activities (CIA) Committee.Ensuring all tasks comply with Pharmaceutical and Governmental regulations and the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and ethical behavior.YOUR BACKGROUNDEducationRequired: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.Preferred: Professional Engineer Registration.Experience4-5 years of industrial experience and 2-5 years of project management experience.Strong project management capabilities; capital equipment specification, procurement and qualification; hands-on equipment problem-solving ability; experience in process validation; experience in cGMP manufacturing environment with an emphasis on aseptic filling and packaging.Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.Must be able to perform basic algebraic and geometrical mathematical functions.Strong oral and written communication skills.Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices.CAD experience preferred, not required.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYGuerbet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
