Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains a high level of proficiency in network, wireless, and network security technologies
Designs, builds, deploys, and administers complex network, wireless and network security environments
Recommends improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
Creates and maintains as-built documentation and network operations reports as required
Collaborates with partners and vendors to deploy infrastructure and provide operational support
Supports trouble tickets and dispatches maintenance personnel as required
Provides on-call support during off-hours, holidays and weekends on a rotational basis
Other duties as assigned by the Network Manager
Identifies network automation opportunities and leads automation efforts
Coordinates and implements network changes in accordance with the change management procedures
Qualifications:
Must Have:
7+ years of experience installing and supporting data network solutions
3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network routing, switching, wireless, security, and datacenter architectures
Experience working with Cisco network routers and switches
Experience leading critical network, wireless and network security projects
Experience mentoring junior network technicians
A Plus to Have:
Experience working with Cisco Wireless, Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, Aruba SDWAN and Cradlepoint network technologies
Education:
Active CCNA certification or equivalent experience
required
Associate or higher degree or equivalent experience
required
Active CCNP or higher certification
a plus
Information security certifications or equivalent training completed
a plus
