Job Title: Senior Specialist, Systems AdministrationJob Code: 14734Job Location: Colorado Springs, COJob Description:Responsible for the internal or customer administration, maintenance and management of capacity resources for computers at the operating system and infrastructure level. Builds, configures, troubleshoots and integrates new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Recommends software and hardware enhancements, diagnoses and corrects issues, defines and implements new services with the goal of achieving maximum server uptime and availability for the customers. Responsible for monitoring performance, system usage. Contributes towards the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), backup systems and disk configurations. Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies.Essential Functions:Experience with Red Hat Linux Administration or Engineering, 2-4 years of experience with virtualization, containerization (e.g., Docker, Podman), and automation (e.g. Ansible, scripting) technologiesConfigure, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot Linux Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) and/or VMWare virtualization platformsExperience in CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6-9 operating, file and storage systemsSystem configuration experience with Enterprise Linux Identity Management tools (LDAP, IPA, IDM, etc.)Lead efforts to develop, integrate, test, and field changes to production systems to a scheduleAddress and detect issues that impact projects and implement/develop courses of action (COAs) to mitigate or alleviate the impact to projectsExperience implementing STIGs, patches, scanning, remediating findings, auditingSupport critical operations during standard and occasional non-standard working hoursWork is 100% on-site and cannot be accomplished remotely.Qualifications:Education:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, orGraduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, orIn lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Top Secret / SCI security clearance required.DOD 8570.01M IAT 2 with Linux OS certification.Preferred Additional Skills:DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 3 certification (e.g. CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH).System configuration experience with SANs, RAID and Linux TCP/IP networkingWorking knowledge of RMF and cybersecurity requirementsPrevious experience supporting DoD/government customersHardware/software requirement verification/system validation experienceDemonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environmentActive TS/SCI DOD security clearance w/CI Poly is preferredAbility to travel up to 10%Experience with CM toolsEstablish and maintain up-to-date cybersecurity configurations based on DISA STIGs and IAVM NoticesIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $76,500 - $142,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
