CiviTek is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Florida Association of Court Clerks, Inc. (FCCC).A Brief OverviewThe Automation Tester is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. This role involves working closely with Development, Program and Project managers, System Project Analysts and other product team members to identify test requirements, create test scripts, and maintain test automation frameworks contributing to the overall success of our products.What you will doTest Automation Development:Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.Build and enhance test automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.Collaborate with software developers, System Project Analysts, and Project Managers to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.Test Execution and Analysis:Execute automated tests and analyze the results to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.Report and track defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.Work with the System Project Analysts to perform root cause analysis for issues found during testing and provide detailed documentation.Test Planning and Documentation:Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for automated testing.Document test scripts, test results, and any deviations from expected outcomes.Continuously improve test processes and methodologies to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Project Managers, and System Project Analysts, to ensure alignment on test objectives and requirements.Provide regular status updates and communicate any risks or issues.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation.Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the test automation process.Mentor and support junior team members in test automation practices and techniques.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Required5 Years proven experience as Automation Tester or similar role in software testing. RequiredProficiency in one or more test automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, SmartBear, or similar.Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes, such as Jenkins, Git, or similar.Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.Experience with writing formal test plans for software application testing.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, participating in concurrent projects with varying tasks, requirements, and deadlines, completing projects on schedule and as specified by project leads and/or project team manager.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with performance testing tools.Familiarity with API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUI.Understanding of SmartBear Software.Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.ISTQB or other relevant certification in software testing.Florida Association of Court Clerks and Comptrollers/Civitek offers a dynamic business culture that values, encourages, and includes the thinking and collaboration of our employees.
