Job Summary:As a Leader Operational Excellence – Culture and Capability, your primary responsibility will be to champion and drive the development of leadership capability and the transformation into a lean culture. You will work closely with the regional/business unit leadership teams and various departments to implement lean methodologies, establish operational excellence frameworks/tools, that promote a continuous improvement mindset. This role demands strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams towards achieving operational objectives.
This is a hybrid position (three days in the office and two remote days).
Responsibilities:
Leadership Capability Development:
Design, develop, and implement leadership development programs to build a strong cadre of lean leaders at all levels, ensuring leaders have the skills and knowledge to drive operational excellence.
Work closely with senior leadership to identify leadership skill gaps and provide targeted training and coaching.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to leaders to support their development and growth.
Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous learning within the leadership team.
Cultural Transformation:
Lead efforts to shape a culture of organizational and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Define and communicate the desired values, behaviors, and expectations to all employees.
Ensure alignment between the organizational culture and operational excellence principles.
Continuous Improvement:
Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to drive continuous improvement across all areas of the organization.
Identify improvement opportunities and prioritize projects that align with the company's strategic goals.
Support and guide cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
15+ Years of proven experience and track record in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prior experience building capabilities focused on all levels of leadership.
Prior plant leadership experience preferred.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
Key Metrics and Performance Management:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the responsibilities outlined above.
Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement performance management processes and tools to track progress, communicate results, and drive accountability.
Change Management:
Lead and support change initiatives to ensure successful implementation.
Develop change management strategies and plans to minimize resistance and maximize adoption.
Provide guidance and support to leaders and employees throughout the change process.
Lead a team of OpEx professionals responsible for the development and execution of strategies.
Identify and implement alternative learning resources/strategies focused on accelerated capability development (AI, virtual reality).
