Job Summary
General Manager, Magenta will provide thought leadership in creating a state-of-the-art digital marketing, consumer experience and sales origination company for residential HVAC and other SBUs within Trane Technologies. This role will report to Chief Digital Officer and work very closely with the SBU Presidents for the company as well as other senior leaders in the organization. This role will lead a team in managing the best (branded and non-branded) online properties to attract and engage consumers with diverse monetization strategies. Where is the work:
This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
Responsibilities
Develop and drive the overall digital marketing strategy of Magenta, aligning it with the business objectives and long-term vision.
Stay up to date with the latest digital trends, technologies, and consumer behaviors to identify strategic opportunities and potential risks.
Collaborate with senior executives and department heads to define digital priorities, key performance indicators, and success metrics.
Lead a team of digital professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to maximize team performance and engagement.
Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of digital initiatives, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Build and maintain relationships with external digital agencies, vendors, and partners to leverage their expertise and drive successful digital campaigns or projects.
Identify and develop new strategic vendor/partner relationships
Monitor and report on the performance of digital initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to optimize results and drive continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiencies, and innovation in digital operations, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of digital transformation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, IT, product, and customer experience to ensure alignment and integration of digital initiatives across the organization.
Stay current on industry best practices and regulations related to digital marketing, data privacy, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance across digital channels.
Participate in executive-level discussions and strategic planning sessions, contributing digital expertise and insights.
Qualifications
15+ years’ experience in progressively more challenging leadership roles, with emphasis toward experience in entrepreneurial environments with distributed teams.
Experience with and command of innovating and leading digital marketing, buy flows, and branding strategies.
A proven executive with a relentless focus on the customer experience who will shape and reshape execution to continuously improve.
Experience working with developed markets and ideally in companies that derive a portion of revenue from digital services, solutions management or contracting
Proven experience developing and leading strategy for the commercialization of technology
Excellent personal leadership, change management and ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally—can conduct a dialogue that is intellectually honest, brings out diversity of ideas and creates the appropriate integration/connectivity
Developer of talent and capabilities; great people leader. Can select and lead both people with deep expertise and people with breadth
Excellent ability to represent the Company externally and build alliances
Bachelors degree and/or Masters degree in Engineering, IT or related field, from a leading academic institution, plus business education (MBA preferred); professionally active in societies, professional associations and networks
