Our client is seeking a skilled VMWare Horizon VDI Administrator to manage and maintain our virtual desktop infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting VDI solutions using VMWare Horizon. This role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of virtual desktops, optimizing performance, and ensuring security across the VDI environment.
Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and configure VMWare Horizon VDI solutions to meet business requirements.Manage and maintain virtual desktop images, templates, and pools.Monitor VDI environment performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.Implement security measures to safeguard virtual desktops, data, and user access.Collaborate with IT teams to integrate VDI solutions with existing infrastructure and applications.Provide end-user support for VDI-related issues and incidents.Create and maintain documentation, including installation guides and operational procedures.Perform regular updates and patches to ensure system stability.Assist in capacity planning and scalability efforts for the VDI environment.Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to virtualization and VDI.Assist in other areas of responsibility as needed.Participate in on-call rotation.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience as a VMWare Horizon VDI Administrator or similar role.In-depth knowledge of VMWare Horizon View, vCenter, and related technologies.Familiarity with virtualization concepts and best practices.Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security principles within a VDI context.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Relevant VMWare certifications (e.g., VCP-DTM) are a plus.Experience with other virtualization platforms and cloud technologies is advantageous.This position is on-site in West Palm Beach, FL.
