Tulsa, OKPosition Summary:Design, develop, and test automatic control valves and related components. Apply the valve based on customer needs and/or specifications. Assists customers over the phone daily and on-site as required. Support Marketing, Sales, Production and other departments as necessary.Essential Functions:Assist with the development of the product design and functionality.Implement product design within the schedule and budget parameters.Identify problems with the implementation or available resources that may affect the schedule or budget and communicate such problems accordingly.Analyze risks of a new design or process and communicate results to project engineer.Provide support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design.Develop and maintain procedures and processes that support core machine technologies.Interface with others in the organization and customers to jointly determine customer needs and solutions.Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.Design products or systems such as instruments, controls, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.Plan and direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of equipment.Design products and systems to interface with other equipment, including software in some applications.Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate product or system malfunctions.Discuss applications with customers, prospects, engineering firms, sales representatives and other parties to troubleshoot or select the proper product (including sizing, model selection and settings).Participate in the Applications Engineering, troubleshooting, mechanical design, hydraulic design and maintenance of the control valve line.Handle UL and FM projects and inspectors as needed.Participate in routine duties, such as: assigning new part numbers, bills of materials, and maintenance of the ERP system files.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or Work Equivalent; Field of Study: Engineering or Engineering Technology; Registered Professional Engineer in State of Oklahoma (preferred).2+ years of experience in related field; Experience/education in hydraulics (i.e. fire protection systems, fuel systems, municipal water systems) is recommended.Knowledge of ProE, CF Design, Adobe Illustrator Design software; Internet Explorer Internet software; M2M Manufacturing software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word Processing software.Valid US Passport; Must be able to travel when required (5%-30% of the time).Company Benefits:Flex Benefit Plan – health and dependent careCompany-paid life insuranceVoluntary-based life insuranceCompany provided Employee Assistance PlanSupplemental Aflac insurance401(k) plan with company match11 paid holidays, including employee birthday and anniversary holiday
