Application Specialist – ERP Epicor CMS

Basic Function:
Extensive expertise and hands-on proficiency with Epicor ERP Systems. Experienced technology professional with strong project management skills responsible for complex applications, computer systems, sub-systems, and associated processes. Works as a member of a technical team to which they provide technical leadership in one or more areas. Offers technical direction to peers or IT management. Is responsible for the definition of application architecture, support, enhancements, technical and process consulting.key responsibilities:
Manage the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Epicor CMS platform, ensuring its reliability, availability, and scalability.Contribute to the overall ERP strategy and potentially support in the global roll-out of Epicor CMS to new countries and plants.Ability to understand business requirements and business processes and how these are integrated into an ERP system.Monitor and troubleshoot the Epicor CMS platform, resolving issues and implementing preventive measures.Develop and implement light customizations, integrations, and extensions to the Epicor CMS platform, using RPG IV, SQL, and other technologies.Coordinate with third-party system integrators for larger enhancements and projects, ensuring alignment of scope, budget, and timeline.Manage user and group accounts, permissions, and access rights for the Epicor CMS platform.Provide technical support and training to end-users and stakeholders of the Epicor CMS platform.Collaborate with internal and external teams to define and implement best practices, standards, and policies for the Epicor CMS platform.Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and patches for the Epicor CMS platform, evaluating and implementing them as needed.Document and maintain the Epicor CMS platform architecture, design, and configuration.Implement and ensure a strong data governance across all countries and plants.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree (or comparable qualification) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience (5-10 years) in managing and supporting Epicor CMS platforms, or other Epicor products preferably deployed in the automotive or (discrete) manufacturing industry.Strong knowledge and skills in RPG IV programming, SQL, and Epicor CMS APIs.Experience in developing and implementing customizations, integrations, and extensions for Epicor CMS platforms.Experience in implementing and maintaining interfaces between Epicor CMS and 3rd parties.Experience in user and group management, security configuration, and access control for Epicor CMS platforms.Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with end-users, stakeholders, and vendors.Fluent English is a must.Knowledge and Beneficial experience:
Certification or training in Epicor CMS or related technologies.Basic understanding of IBM iSeries and impacts on the application layer.Knowledge or hands-on experience with other ERP systems or tools.Experience in working with agile methodologies and tools.British Indian Ocean Territory
