The University of Dayton, a top-tier Catholic research university, is seeking a talented and driven Cyber Security Administrator to join the UDRI - Research IT division. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to contribute to cutting-edge research while safeguarding the university's critical digital assets.The Cyber Security Administrator will ensure the operation of UDRI's networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for our users. This position is part of a team that is dedicated to support our operations. Responsibilities include designing, installing, maintaining, supporting Server infrastructure and other Microsoft based networks. This position will also be responsible for providing technical support, creating and maintaining network documentation, maintaining hardware and software standards, implementing upgrades as needed and maintaining network security.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline plus 6 years of relevant experience; OR 10 years relevant experienceActive CISSP or CAP or equivalent certification or ability to acquire within one year of employmentExperience with NIST 800-53 or NIST 800-171Experience developing, managing, and providing sufficient evidence needed to close POA&Ms associated with the A&A and project management processesExperience performing technical security controls assessments and baseline validations to identify vulnerabilities and control deficiencies as part of the continuous monitoring programExperience supporting various information assurance sustainment activities including (but not limited to): hardware change management, software change management, account management, anti-virus updates, media protection, user interface, file transfers, etc.Experience reviewing audit logs and audit trail data for anomalies and reporting all findingsExperience performing information system self-inspections and support on-site customer assessmentsExperience in conducting initial and follow-on information assurance training and awareness for usersAbility to work with stakeholders to perform incident response, investigation, and resolutionDue to the nature of the work, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearanceValid drivers license with low risk driving record to be insurable by the University to drive a University owned or rented vehicleDue to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. CitizenPreferred Qualifications:Experience researching and resolving complex network and IT issuesExperience in Microsoft server administrationExperience with the implementation and use of load balancers (F5) to manipulate, optimize and control network trafficExperience in administering Microsoft Office 365Knowledge of CMMC regulationsSpecial Instructions to Applicants:To apply please submit a cover letter addressing each minimum qualification and any applicable preferred qualifications that you meet.Closing Statement:Informed by its Catholic and Marianist mission, the University is committed to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
