Position Summary:Unlock Your Potential at the University of Dayton! The University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) is seeking a talented and experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Applied Sensing division. This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
This senior position will be responsible for working as part of a diverse and skilled technical team to support development of software solutions. A current United States SECRET clearance (or higher) is required for ongoing employment in this position. This position is contingent upon receipt of contract funding.
Minimum Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a technical discipline;* 10 years of relevant experience* 4 years C++/C# development on Windows or Linux operating systems;* Proficient knowledge of software systems or architectures;* Experience developing software for deployed Air Force systems;* Successful experience with software and system integration and DevOps;* Excellent written and oral communication skills;* Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident;* Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance will be required for ongoing employment in this position
Preferred Qualifications:While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
* MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering;* Demonstrated, effective software architecture design experience;* Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) developing software applications specifically designed for use in multi platform (e.g. Windows and Linux) environments;* Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) with source code version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or similar;* Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills;* Experience with Real Time Operating Systems & Real Time programming;* Experience with Kubernetes and related tooling
