As a DevOps/SysOps Engineer at High Fidelity, you'll play a pivotal role in the development and operation of our next-generation collaboration tools. Your expertise in both software development and systems operations will ensure that our applications are not only built on robust, scalable architectures but also deployed and managed with precision and efficiency.Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable and reliable full-stack applications, with a particular focus on backend and infrastructure development.Lead the charge in adopting DevOps, SysOps, and GitOps best practices, including automation, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, GCP).Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment processes.Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security through proactive monitoring and performance tuning.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps, SysOps, and GitOps methodologies into the development lifecycle.Participate in architectural decisions, advocating for scalable solutions and efficient deployment strategies.Engage in ongoing learning to stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies that can enhance our development and operational capabilities.Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Experience with managing AWS services, eg. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Route 53.Extensive experience with DevOps, SysOps, and GitOps practices, including infrastructure as code, build and deploy automation, and cloud services management.Experience with designing, deploying, and maintaining Docker containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and data recovery. Hands-on knowledge of Terraform, Zookeeper. Solid understanding of vertical and horizontal scaling.Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (Git/GitHub).Experience with database management and architecture, including proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Aurora, MongoDB, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Keyspaces).Experience with setting up, maintaining and optimizing message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, or equivalents).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Bonus Points
Certifications in cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP) or DevOps methodologies.Experience with SQL database management and architecture.Knowledge of Agora.io services, knowledge of WebRTC basics and practices, i.e. SFU vs MCU advantages.Knowledge of network security practices and protocols.Contributions to open-source projects or active engagement in technical communities.High Fidelity Perks
