Summary:Level IV Lathe Machinists are responsible for the manufacturing and quality of work assignments based upon customer requirements. Level IV Lathe Machinist shall assist in training fellow Employees in order to further the development of the workforce.Responsibilities include the manufacturing and inspection of machined parts to customer requirements. Direction is gained from Job Travelers, First Article Inspection Reports, Quality Control Plans, and Part Specific Specifications. Second party inspection for fellow employees may be performed.Level IV Lathe Machinists are responsible for Lathe Machine Programming and the identification and procurement of cutting and hand tools required to perform assigned tasks. Level IV Machinist shall assist fellow Team Members with machine set-ups and machined parts processing and shall assist the Team Leader with Team Building fundamentals.Level IV Lathe Machinists are responsible for adherence to Quality Management System Procedures, Work Instructions, Company Policies as defined in the Employee Handbook, and shall follow all normal machine shop safety practices.Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the Lathe departmentFull knowledge ofLathe Programming, Machining andInspection philosophies.A strong math background is required.Experience in machining and understanding the physical characteristics of differing materials such as but not limited to Aerospace Grade Stainless Steels (PH13-8, 17-4MO, 300 Series, & 400 Series), Inconel, Titanium, Aerospace Grade Aluminums (7000, 6000, & 2000 Series), Coppers, and Brass are a must.Knowledge of machining Plastics and Non-Metal related materials shall also be required.Additional Information
