TITLE:

Desktop Engineer

LOCATION:

Burbank, CA (100% Onsite)

Relocation:

Client is open to candidates who need to relocate, but will only pay for the cost of interviewing in person

DURATION:

3-month contract (With Possible Extension or Conversion to FTE/full time employee)

WORK HOURS:

Standard shifts, but willing to be avail for 24/7 rotation shifts for emergency tech support with the team

CITIZENSHIP:

Client expects US Citizenship or Green Card

Hourly Pay:

$30hr

Primary Skills:

Microsoft PowerShell, ServiceNow, Microsoft Disk Operating System, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, change management, problem solving

Onboarding Process:

Selected Candidate must be willing to go to the closest Client office in Burbank, CA to meet and greet with a project team member prior to starting their assignment.

If the candidate is not local, client will pay for the interview travel expenses.

Description:

Desktop Engineer is responsible for project support and advanced troubleshooting of Microsoft enterprise PC system deployments. Level 3 Desktop Engineers should have advanced skills in Windows 10 Enterprise configuration and maintenance. The position requires a responsible, self-motivated, well-organized individual with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while adapting quickly to rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Execute project related tasks including discovery, design, test plan development, trouble and delivery of completed product to operations team

• Provide rapid response to PC system issues and outages

• Support Level I, Level II, and Field Teams

• Troubleshoot OS Deployment failures.

• LAN/WAN troubleshooting

• Develop and troubleshoot PowerShell Scripts

• Troubleshoot GPO processing issues

• Develop GPO and verify GPO setting on PC systems

• Implement PC delivery security policies

• Perform advanced troubleshooting of PC systems with cross-functional teams to research, develop, and implement enterprise-wide solutions

• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Provide support for critical systems, perform scheduled maintenance, and deployments in a 24×7 operations environment as required

• Produce technical and operational documentation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related technical customer support experience.

• 1+ Service Now or equivalent ticketing system experience

• Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly to a wide audience

• Demonstrate a customer focused attitude

• Highly proficient with most popular software including MS-DOS, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, communication software, Citrix, Anti-Virus, and Web Browsers.

• Comprehensive knowledge of computer and network installation, configuration, and support.

• Experience with Microsoft Operating System deployment tools: MDT, SCCM, OSD and Windows PE

• Ability to work in a 24×7 on-call after hour rotation environment

• Good understanding of change management
