As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Site Lead to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.Lead Data Center Administrator:The Lead data center administrator (DCA) will be responsible for ensuring all work being performed in the data center meets or exceeds best practices and client standards. Ensure the reliability and uptime of the environment is never at risk. The Lead DCA will have advance knowledge of hardware, network, storage, cabling, cooling and power distribution within the environment. The lead DCA will be responsible for the operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the data center and supporting infrastructure that includes and is not limited to servers, storage arrays, network switches and MOAs. Ensure the security of the data center that is not limited to escorting and supervision of anyone who is not a client employee.The lead DCA will be responsible for monitoring the environment through vendor tools, secondary tools and addressing issues identified. Maintaining the health and wellbeing of all devices through the updates of any drivers, firmware and BIOS. Installation of devices are done with power load balancing, networking (zoning requirement) and storage capabilities.The lead DCA will work across teams to support the installation and deployment of business-required systems (i.e. servers, network, storage arrays, etc.). Will make recommendation based on requirements and how to best manage devices in the data center.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Responsibilities:Day to day operations

Supervise team and manage technician time.Help prepare quarterly budget.

Provide support and resolution to technical issues relate to devices managed in the data centerCreate a schedule for managing and addressing the maintenance (break/fix) of devices in the data centerManage incident and service request to team

Review SLAReview OLAEstablish the KPIs and metrics and reporting to evidence a healthy and within specifications (SLAs) operational environment

Capacity management - Planning and scaling of devices inside the data center

Based on system being worked/managed

Provide power neededBalancing of powerProvide space neededProvide networking zoning/requirement availabilityProvide storage when needed

Report on power in cabinetReport on power on the floorReport on RU availability i.e. decommissioning & open RU(s)

Manage secure entry into data center

Note SR/Incident/changeNote reasonNote functionsEscort and perform oversite of CE/FE

Manage inventory of assets in data center

Capture the life cycle of the node i.e. inventory, pre-commission, retiredWarranty versus maintenance coverage of node/deviceDecommissioning of hardware must be tracked and disposed of using approved policies

Make sure PHI/HIPAA data is not compromised

Manage CI entry and updates

In CMDBIn DCIM

Manage receipt of equipment into data center

Making sure the node is not damagedMoving from loading dock to storage room to data centerInforming other groups of delivery

Manage rack elevation

Tracking location within the rack (DCIM/CMDB)RUs being occupied

This includes devices that required power or notThis includes any RU taken due to unique cabling or power needed

Create and update internal policies to meet business demands and evolution

Process are living documents and need to be updated as technology and environment evolves

Change management

Entering tasks into change tickets to reflect true effort required to complete changeEntering hand offs between teamsCommunicating and documenting modification needed

Manage monitoring and support of devices

Using OEM toolsOther monitoring tools i.e. solar winds, Nlyte, etc.

Conduct research and remain current with the latest technologies and solutions in support of procurement efforts

Work with vendor on installation of new technology so hardware architecture is understood

Support quarterly disaster recovery testingOther related dutiesRequirements:B.S. or equivalent degree in technology field or comparable experience of 8+ years. Has the ability to work across teams. Strong technical skills with servers, networking and storage systems. Has the ability to learn or research new development and products to better manage the data center. Has the ability to understand goals so prioritization and execution of tasks meet expectations.
