It was established to propose innovative solutions that securely modernize state government, including technology and information services, to achieve value through digital transformation and interoperability, and to fully support the state’s cloud-first policy.Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The incumbent in this position will assist with the many facets of the Office of Data Management within the Florida Digital Service (FL[DS]). Responsibilities include assisting with the implementation and support of the State Enterprise Data Catalog. Essential job functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Implement and support the State Enterprise Data Catalog.Define and implement Extract Transform Load (ETL) jobs on a wide variety of disparate data sources.Build and maintain dashboards leveraging Business Intelligence tools including but not limited to Power BI and Tableau.Provide support as needed for commercial data catalog solution.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with developing ETL processes.Experience with Snowflake or other RDBMS.Experience developing reports & dashboards using business intelligence software.Familiarity with metadata.Familiarity with a variety of datasets, structured, semi-structured and unstructured, etc.Experience writing high quality technical documentation.Hands-on experience with database design.Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of experience with technology projects.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing and using APIs.Experience developing programs and applications.Experience with cloud services.Exposure with one or more commercial data catalog solutions.BA/BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative fields.Special Notes:
