The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team is seeking a Cloud Data Platform Engineer to help build, automate, and support robust cloud platform solutions for data management. You will work on creating scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions to support our core data, reporting, and analytics platform.What You’ll do:Design and Develop Cloud Solutions:
Build, automate, and support Cloud Data Platform solutions for Data Lake, Data Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Data Mesh architectures.Utilize AWS services (e.g., S3, IAM, KMS, EC2, Glue, Redshift, RDS, Lake Formation, Lambda) to create robust and scalable solutions.Implement industry best practices for data security using AWS IAM in multi-account environments.
Platform Management and Optimization:
Leverage automation tools (Terraform, Jenkins, dbt, GitHub) to manage and enhance EDM platforms.Utilize containerization technologies (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes) where appropriate.Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and cost-control procedures to ensure optimal platform performance.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
Work closely with Data Architects, Engineers, DBAs, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and build flexible, scalable solutions.Participate in quarterly on-site planning and strategy sessions.Stay current with industry trends in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data Governance.
Support and Maintenance:
Participate in Level 3 on-call support rotation.Ensure systems are highly available, resilient, and designed to scale efficiently.
What You’ll Bring:5+ years of experience as an Enterprise Data Platform Engineer in Data Lake, Data Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, or Data Mesh environments.3+ years as a Cloud Data Platform Engineer or similar roles (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Site Reliability Engineer).3+ years of experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, Glue, Redshift, RDS) in shared or hybrid environments.Proficiency in AWS tools and serverless technologies, security best practices, and automation tools.Experience with containerization, monitoring, and cost management.Familiarity with SAFe Agile principles.Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field preferred but not required.Pay TransparencySalary Range: $95,000-$162,500Discretionary bonus eligible: YesActual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
