Many federal CFOs and the teams they lead have a span of control over traditional budget, accounting, financial reporting and strategic areas including risk management and strategic goal setting. Many even have heavy influence and make significant contributions in other areas ranging from human resources to technology.As the role of the federal OCFO has expanded, precious resources within accounting and finance organizations have naturally become stretched to capacity. In addition to the inherent structural demands, certain events often drive the requirement for highly capable external teams to provide assistance, management advisory and technical expertise when it matters most.As a Senior Manager in Federal CFO Advisory, you will lead teams of professionals who are serving the Office of the CFO primarily focused on financial management, complex accounting issues, audit readiness, performance improvement and special projects out of the OCFO.Responsibilities:Lead efforts to provide outstanding client service through engagement oversight and interaction with client executives and engagement sponsorsEvaluate organization challenges, accounting / financial reporting matters and design appropriate solutions. Lead teams in delivery of solutionsKey role in supporting client in their annual financial statement audit including technical accounting matters, audit findings, remediation activities and interfacing with external auditorsBe accessible and anticipate client needs, questions, and issuesManage internal and external deadlines to meet client expectations for deliveryInteract at the highest levels of client organizationsExperience leading multiple workstreams in dynamic environmentsAchieve high visibility for delivery of quality services in both routine and complex situations requiring innovation while being sought out as consulting resourceCreate opportunities / participate in pursuit of new clients or servicesBe a leader in the training and development of other Baker Tilly professionalsLead by example to positively impact employee moraleContribute to firms efforts to attract, retain, and develop staff and managers and act as mentor for other managers and senior staff
Qualifications:Successful candidates will have:Eight (8+) years' experience in a large accounting or advisory firm serving Federal agencies in audit and/or consulting rolesSupervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates desiredFederal experience / knowledge U.S. federal financial regulations and FASABRelevant bachelors degree in accounting, finance or relatedCertified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified public accountant (CPA) preferredExperience with business process improvement and audit readiness supportHigh motivation, initiative and positive attitudeExcellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities appropriatelyAbility to work autonomously, to meet tight deadlines, and to thrive in a fast pacedenvironment with shifting prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication, experience presenting analyses tomanagement and ability to lead and drive initiativesAbility to comfortably interact with senior level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefings
Additional Information:The compensation range for this role is $179,850 to $389,680. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.#LI-JM2#LI-hybrid
