Our team is dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Director to oversee our accounting department and manage the financial operations of Forkardt Hardinge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and team leadership. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial information and supporting the company's strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with GAAP and company policies.Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor budget vs. actual performance, and provide variance analysis and insights.General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and internal controls. Coordinate external audits and implement recommended improvements.Cost Accounting: Analyze cost structures and provide insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and collection of invoices.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JDE, Sage, ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.Pay Range: $120,000-$150,000Application Process: If you are a results-driven accounting professional looking to contribute to a forward-thinking organization, we would love to hear from you.
