Job DescriptionBoutique San Francisco law firm is seeking an associate with one to two years of litigation experience to join their team. The firm handles real property matters, including, but not limited to quiet title, partitions, HOA disputes, habitability disputes, wrongful eviction, below market rate unit litigation, unlawful detainer, etc., however attorneys without real estate experience are encouraged to apply.
Pay DOE, excellent benefits available and low billable hour requirement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Active CA State Bar memberReal Estate and/or Landlord-tenant experience is a plusExcellent analytical, research, writing and verbal communication skillsAbility to independently handle cases, significant client contact and day-to-day case handling, while working effectively in a team environmentExperience handling all phases of discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting motions, court appearances and preparing for trial; trial experience a plusPosition primarily involves representation of residential and commercial landlords and tenants in litigating real estate disputes including unlawful detainer actions, drafting and responding to discovery, appearing for depositions, negotiating settlements, representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, trials, and other related landlord-tenant workKnowledge of California civil procedure and familiarity with Code of Civil ProcedureIndependently manage cases (with appropriate supervision)Supremely detail orientedStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to prioritize and multi-taskStrong work ethicGood judgment and discretionCommitment to client serviceTHE LAW FIRM ENVIRONMENT INCLUDES:
