SailPoint's accounting and finance team plays a crucial role in providing support, guidance and collaboration across all organizations within the company to aid in SailPoint's mission to continue to remain an innovative presence in the cybersecurity world.
Our accounting team is looking for a Reporting and Technical Accounting Senior Manager to own the preparation of internal and external financial reporting for SailPoint Technologies. This is a highly visible position within the business, that will give you hands-on experience across quarterly and annual reporting processes, especially footnotes and disclosures for all financial reports. We are looking for a highly motivated, eager to learn individual who can help streamline and improve our processes as we grow and scale. This position will report to the Reporting and Technical Accounting Director.
What You'll Do
Prepare quarterly and annual reporting documents.Prepare footnote support schedules, tie-out support for financial statements and disclosure checklists.Manage equity for the company within Shareworks.Assist with research and preparation of technical accounting memos.Collaborate with the general accounting team to prepare corporate financial reporting for internal analysis and external financial statements.Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance.Work closely with external auditors to manage the financial quarterly review and annual audit process.Provide financial analysis including explanations of variances between actual and budget/prior period.Ensure internal controls over financial reporting, including disclosure controls and procedures, are adequate and operating effectively.Participate in monthly/quarterly financial close review meetings to ensure appropriate accounting of transactions and accurate external reporting.Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.Who You Are

General milestones expected within the successful candidates' first year:
Within the first month:You will be trained on SailPoint systems and processes and work with the team on understanding the financial close process including financial statement preparation. You will be introduced to other stakeholder within the accounting and finance teams in order to build cross functional relationships.
Within 3 months:You will have a thorough knowledge of the financial close process including the various teams that provide information as part of the financial statement preparation process. You will understand key financial deadlines and the lead in process for achieving those deadlines.
Within 1 year:You will own the financial statement close process. You will have reviewed the financial statement control process and implemented any needed changes based on the evolution of the business and any new regulatory requirements.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint's differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):$114,030 - $162,900 - $211,770Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee's home location.
