General Partner Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager

Position Summary
Vista Equity Partners is seeking to hire a Manager to work in the General Partners Programs group. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to add immediate value and impact to a rapidly growing and dynamic company and to help define a new function within the Finance Department.
As a new team, the manager will be responsible for the maintenance of allocations for Vista's general partner entities, the accounting for transactions, reporting obligations for the holding company, and delivering a best-in-class service to external and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is excited to support a rapidly growing firm, has experience onboarding new technology platforms, and understands the complexities that arise in general partner accounting for private equity firms. A strong accounting background in private equity, with a preference for experience working on general partner entities and experience reading through complex legal documents are also critical for success in the role. The manager will work with a team, other internal and external stakeholders across the firm, and counsel to streamline our accounting and reporting processes.
The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment in a role with high visibility and accountability, high-pressure tasks and competing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment. Additionally, this candidate willing to prepare complex calculations and review the work of others. The candidate should be self-driven and able to prioritize multiple concurrent, complex tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Preparation and/or review of carried interest and capital commitments at an investment level for the Vista General Partner Entities. This includes ongoing maintenance related to new grants, the impact of retirements or terminations at the transaction levelCalculation and/or review of the allocations for capital calls and distributions, including carried interestCalculation an/or review of a breakout of quarterly fund level liquidation waterfalls to the deal levelCalculation and/or review of waterfalls for special purpose vehicles maintained by the General Partner Program functionAssisting to complete requests and projections from internal and external stakeholdersCoordination with internal and external counsel to fundamentally understand partnership agreements for the General Partner entitiesAssisting with quarterly close and required reporting to the holding companyAssisting with reporting and investor requests at the holding company related to general partner activitiesQualifications
Minimum 6-9 years of professional experience in accounting for private equity and credit productsStrong alternative asset industry knowledge, including experience working across teams and a strong attention to detailExperience working withing accounting software associated with private equity and onboarding new technologyStrong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and across an organizationStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work productHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary informationDemonstrated ability to manage multiple key stakeholders and coordinate across various teams to execute necessary functions and agreed upon plansStrong oral and written communication skills including strong presentation skillsBachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting is preferred with strong preference for additional graduate degrees or certifications (Masters, CPA)
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $170,000-210,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
