Position SummaryAre you ready to join a dynamic, tech-driven finance team at the forefront of the profession, supporting YHB's ambitious growth and transformation? The Senior Finance Manager will play a critical, high impact role in managing the company's financial operations, including overseeing the accounting, reporting, and data management functions. This role encompasses traditional controller tasks but is broadened to require a tech savvy individual that can support data management, financial transparency, and comprehensive reporting activities. The Senior Finance Manager will work closely with senior management to ensure the integrity and transparency of financial information, drive data-driven decision-making, and support the company's strategic goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, contract administration, and financial reporting.Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.Manage cash flow, forecasting, and working capital requirements.Financial Reporting:
Prepare YHB's month-end and annual financial statements in accordance to standard accounting principles.Support the narrative development for the monthly financial results and analysis to the Board of Directors, CEO, and key stakeholders.Develop and maintain robust financial reporting systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.Provide regular and ad-hoc financial reports, dashboards, and analyses to senior management and the board of directorsData Management & Transparency:
Implement and manage financial data management systems to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and transparency.Develop tools and systems for providing critical financial information to the ELT as it relates to defined key metrics for financial effectiveness.Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.Ensure the integrity and consistency of financial data across the organization.Budgeting & Forecasting:
Support the development of annual budgets and forecastsWork with FP&A director providing data and analysis to support budget development that align with strategic objectives.Maintain monthly budget vs. actual performance and tend analysis reports.Support development of P/L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts and analysis.Internal Controls & Compliance:
Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion (401k, Workers Comp, Peer Review, etc.)Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions including tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax and business regulations.Strategic Support:
Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives.Support M&A activities, including operational due diligence and integration planning.Lead or support special projects as required.Assist with setup and implementation of new business ventures.Make recommendations for process improvement and support alternate process improvement functions throughout YHB.Team Leadership:
Manage and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.Ensure the team delivers high-quality and timely financial services and support.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree/MBA, CFA, CMA, or CPA strongly preferred.Experience:
8+ years of accounting experience with progressive responsibilities; experience leading an accounting team, preferredBusiness information, data analytics/management/governance, and developing key reports for managing a professional services firmRisk management, regulatory compliance, and business planningMergers and acquisitions and / or systems integration, preferredUnderstanding of business, legal, and tax compliance requirementsFinancial management systems and accounting softwareCreating and executing budgets, budget monitoring, and developing financial statementsDesigning efficient processes for budget and key financial analysesSkills:
