Position SummaryThe Senior Director of Finance will lead the financial strategy, oversee day-to-day financial operations, and manage the finance team. Reporting to the CEO and collaborating closely with the senior leadership team, the Senior Director will ensure alignment of resources with the mission objectives, build and strengthen the finance team, and drive the execution of the strategic plan.

Strategic Financial LeadershipDevelop and implement financial strategies that align with and support the organization's mission and strategic goals.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure effective allocation of resources and long-term sustainability.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making for senior leadership and the board of directors.Financial OperationsManage and optimize all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, reporting, audits, payroll, grants management, and compliance with nonprofit finance regulations.Monitor and enforce financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure transparency and accountability.Oversee cash flow management and investment strategies to support the organization's financial sustainability.Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Develop staff capacity through training, coaching, and professional development, enabling them to excel in their roles.Build strong relationships across the organization to support a collaborative approach to financial management and budget ownership.Grant and Fund ManagementCollaborate with development and program teams on grant budgeting, reporting, and compliance.Partner with fundraising teams to provide financial insights that support fundraising efforts, donor relations, and stewardship.Qualifications for the Senior Director of Finance
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational goals and mission.Strong experience with financial systems, budgeting, and grant compliance, ideally in a nonprofit setting.Exceptional leadership and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Salary range: $110K-125K, depending on experience
