Job Summary:
The Palo Alto Engineer will be responsible for managing on-premises Palo Alto firewalls and facilitating the transition to a hybrid environment, incorporating both on-premises and cloud-based (Palo Alto SASE) firewall solutions. This role requires expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls, implementing advanced security policies, and working with cloud-based security solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in network security, with hands-on experience in both on-premises and cloud-based Palo Alto solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
•Configure and manage on-premises Palo Alto firewalls to meet organizational security requirements.
•Utilize Palo Alto's next-generation firewall capabilities, including application-level controls, user/group-based policies, and advanced threat prevention.
•Integrate on-premises firewalls with cloud-based security solutions.
•Lead or participate in the migration to the cloud-based Palo Alto SASE solution.
•Ensure compliance with network security best practices and standards.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud-based security solutions.
Required Qualifications:
•Proven experience with on-premises Palo Alto firewall configuration and management.
•Familiarity with Palo Alto's next-generation firewall features, including application-level controls, user-based policies, and threat prevention.
•Hands-on experience with both on-premises and cloud-based Palo Alto solutions.
•Strong understanding of network security principles, concepts, and best practices.
•Ability to work on and support the migration process to Palo Alto SASE.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with hybrid security environments, specifically combining on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
•Certifications in network security, such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex security configurations.
Certifications:
•Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) is preferred but not mandatory.
Primary Skills:
