The company is currently looking for a highly skilled Palo Alto Engineer to join the dynamic team at a leading consultancy in Dublin.This hybrid role requires two days a week in the Dublin office, offering flexibility while facilitating collaboration with key stakeholders. Additionally, the position has been approved outside IR35.Responsibilities:Deploy and configure Palo Alto Firewalls.Implement security policies, rules, and configurations in accordance with security standards.Monitor firewall traffic and logs using Palo Alto's monitoring tools (e.g., Panorama).Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related incidents, conducting root-cause analysis.Define and enforce security policies using next-generation features like App-ID and User-ID.Apply threat prevention tools to block malware and exploits.Integrate firewalls with security tools (e.g., SIEM, VPNs) and automate tasks using APIs.Maintain comprehensive documentation on firewall configurations, change management processes, and incident reports.Required Skills:Proficient in deploying and managing Palo Alto Firewalls (e.g., PA-series).Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and concepts such as NAT, VPN, VLAN, and routing.Familiarity with cybersecurity threats (e.g., malware, DDoS, APTs) and mitigation strategies using firewall policies.Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and Palo Alto APIs for automation.Ability to diagnose complex network security issues, analyze firewall logs, and respond to incidents effectively.Hands-on experience with Palo Alto products in a network or security engineering role.Excellent communication skills.Palo Alto certifications are a plus.Benefits:View to extensionSalary:Up to £350 per day
