Job Title: Staff Accountant

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for analyzing complex financial records and reports and verifying accounting operations from inputting, reconciling, and processing invoices; expense reimbursements; and credit/debit cards and bank transactions, to preparing financial statements and reports.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability.Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.Perform monthly bank reconciliations.Perform various analysis on general ledger accounts or budget to actual reports as directed by CFO.Work with other departments as needed to resolve issues.Assist with the annual external audit.Improve accounting systems and processes by creating useful suggestions and reports to management.Job Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting and a working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required. A minimum of 5 years of general ledger accounting experience and CPA.

Technical/Computer Skills:

Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP's and Pivot tables and a proficient knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred.

Ability to view computer monitors with close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust your focus with good hand-eye coordination.Ability to operate a computer and/or laptop through proficient typing, clicking, and viewing a monitor for extended periods.Employee must be able to sit up to 90% of the time.Employee must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs (up to 10% of the time)(if an elevator is unavailable.)Must be able to frequently (up to 60% of the time) listen and speak clearly in person and via telephone.

Other Work Requirements:

Expected Hours of work - Full Time. Monday through Friday 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM.This position is considered Hybrid, which means that this position may work both at an approved Offsite location and Onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on Business needs.
