Who we are looking for:We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to be based out of newest Regional Service Center (RSC) in the Cartersville, GA area. This position will be responsible for managing all distribution functions including, but not limited to, safety programs, shipping & receiving, inventory management, and warehousing on their assigned shift.
What you'll do:
Passionately develop a safety culture in which all safety related programs are current, monitored, and enforced.Lead effective start up meetings that communicate information to the team and establish work assignmentsWorking closely with our Customer Service, Manufacturing, Inventory Control, and Transportation departments, this position will oversee the assigned shift operations including distribution, warehousing, and fulfillment operations by maintaining and enhancing existing standard work.Coordinate & plan all activity on the distribution center docks, including the timing and location for carriers to be loaded.Transportation types include flatbed, dry van, containers, LTL, will call and small parcel.Achievement of financial objectives for shift by managing controllable expenses through a strong floor presence and active engagement of your team.Drive consistency and cost reduction through the creation and implementation of improvements to our standard work.Lead by example with a continuous improvement mindset; constantly be looking for ways to improve the employee experience through process enhancementsDevelop and implement processes to improve the Commercial Metrics, Atkore's measure of on-time delivery.Be flexible and quickly adapt to change; be comfortable working in the ambiguous environment of a new (launch) building.All other duties as assigned.What you'll bring:
High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.2-5 years' experience working in a high-volume Distribution Center in a supervisory role, with focus on receiving, picking, and shipping.Experience in managing distribution center KPI compliance.Trained in development and mentoring of all distribution center team members.Track record of continuous improvement in safety metrics and program management.Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills that have resulted in strategic and tactical goal attainment.Enthusiasm for development of both yourself as a leader and your team members.Experience participating in cross functional Kaizen and Lean events.Comprehensive oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.Experience with WMS and Scanning Systems operations and capabilities.
