Description
The Information Technology Director position is responsible for managing the County's information technology resources and providing leadership to achieve the County's information technology strategic plan. The position ensures the dependability and security of the County's technology infrastructure. Develops and tracks IT budget. Develops and maintains county-wide IT policies and procedures, including security and vulnerability mitigation. Will serve as the County's Chief Information Security Officer, maintaining and updating the County's Cyber Incident Response Plan. Develops, maintains and implements long range information technology strategies.
Requirements
Knowledge of large organization-wide strategic planning concepts and practices; computer systems and architecture, languages, database techniques, communication technology and networking, IT industry best practices; Advanced computer system analysis and design of firewalls and routers, LAN/WAN network topologies and their components; business and budgetary principles and practices.
Must have a Bachelor's Degree and advanced course work (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science and 7-10 years of management experience or the equivalent education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the job.
