Job Title: I T Support Specialist
Location : Kirtland AFB - Albuquerque, New Mexico
Canvas is seeking an IT Support Support Specialist in the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) you will help empower the Department of Defense's navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission ensuring positioning, navigation and timing superiority. You will serve a s a member of a team providing combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by providing knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR order of battle and PNT-related successes and threats. You will support the Government with the integration, at the theater strategic level, of C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations into JNWC's strategic and operational objectives.
Duties:You will provide technical support for end user devices hardware (laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices) and peripherals, software (COTS, GOTS, Web), network infrastructure (routers, switches, etc.), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), audiovisual display systems, duress alarms, analog and wireless technologiesSchedules and coordinates customer desk-side support for the installation of new software or to performance hardware or software break/fix activitiesSets-up and configures new end-user equipment including laptops, mobiles devices, printers, copiers, VTC units, VoIP phones and other peripheralsInvestigates and resolves all connectivity issues related to end-user, site infrastructure and IT equipmentActively participates in construction project planning, providing detailed requirements for facility IT specificationsResponsible for the on-site coordination of break/fix installations with hardware maintenance providers, providing after hours support when requiredExecutes and maintains IT infrastructure inventory information, completing regularly scheduled inventories of all IT cabinets and IT cabinet equipment, updating pictures, drawings and asset informationRecommends customer service and IT process support enhancements by researching and recommending new technologies and processes .Requirements:
5 Yrs. Relevant experience.TS/SCI level active clearance.BA/BS technical degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.Information Assurance Level Technician experience in a large gov consulting environment.
